Where be that BlackBird...
A Huge spider I uncovered while fixing the shed, no idea what it is, but I don't think its native to the UK!
Earwig, Common I know but photographed with nice detail
Our pond is now home to these lovely frogs. Sitting under waterfall.

General Photos

"Broach or Shield" Front

A find at a Metal Detecting Weekend I went on. This was one of the best finds at the whole rally (out of 200+ people!) and I found it. But have absouletly no idea what it is.

"Broach or Shield" Back

The "Angel of the North", a huge iron statue.

A local beauty spot named SnowDrop Valley. Every year these lovely flowers show their faces :-)

This was taken at a local beauty-spot over looking the surrounding hills during sunset. The speed is set quite fast and aperature is minimum. The effect is know as "Fire on the hill"

This was taken with a Sony H1 camera on maximum optical zoom (12x) and max digital zoom (x900). 6 second exposure. Amazing clarity from only a 5.1mp and with no additional lense!
Andrew Crosse Estate. Heard of Mary Shely's Frankenstein? Well you might not know that the idea for that story probably came from this man and what he did. Did he create Life? (search google for what I mean)
Andrew Crosse was an amateure experimentor. He mainly studied electrostatic effects and used early batteries for experiments with the high voltages.
Above some of his early batteries
A mock-up of his laboratory in early 1800's. Static discharge terminals can be seen on the left side.

He died in 1855 and is buried in Broomfield, Somerset.
